John Bathurst to Speak at the November Meeting

The next meeting of the Kelowna Estate Planning Society is on Tuesday, November 13, at 5:30 p.m. at the Capri Hotel.

Our presenter will be John Bathurst from BMO Harris Private Banking (VP & Regional Director). Mr. Bathurst will discuss the role and responsibilities of corporate trustees, along with a sub-theme of the aging population and the impact on trust services in Canada.

Kelly Watson Will Speak at the October 9th Meeting

Kelly Watson, Chartered Accountant, of KPMG will speak on "corporate and trust structures for estate freezes," at the next Kelowna Estate Planning meeting on Tuesday, October 9, 2007. The meeting will be at the Capri Hotel. Drinks are at 5:30 pm, with dinner at 6:00 pm.

Our Last Supper (Of the Season)

Our final event of the season on Tuesday, May 15th at the Capri Hotel, Kelowna. Drinks and social are at 5:30, dinner is at 6:00. The presenters are Greg Shannon and Todd Mager, who will be providing an update regarding US cross-border estate tax planning. Guest fee for the dinner is $30.00.

April 10 th Featured Speaker is Bram Chistiannse

Our speaker for our April 10 th meeting is Bram Christiaanse from Canadian Home Income Plan. The meeting is at the Coast Capri Hotel. Cocktails are at 5:30 pm, and dinner is at 6:00 pm.

March 13, 2007 meeting: "The Battle of the Lawyers"

The next Kelowna Estate Planning Society event is on Tuesday March 13th at the Capri. Drinks and social is at 5:30 pm and dinner at 6:00 pm.

This event will include the return of the "Battle of the Lawyers," featuring Stan Rule and Geoff White.

Kelowna Estate Planning Society Christmas Party

Our Christmas party will be on Tuesday, December 12, 2006, starting at 5:30 pm, at the Coast Capri Hotel. Spouses and significant others are invited. Ellen Churchill will be singing, with a quartet backing her.
